#stopBSL is a group solely for canine lovers & artists, a place where for canine enthusiasts can share dog related artwork in effort to raise awareness about breed-specific legislation, also known as BSL, to encourage responsible dog ownership and to demote the undeserved stereotypes among man\'s best friend, the dog.
We are for responsible dog ownership, responsible purebred breeding, we also wish to promote adoption and rescue instead of buying from irresponsible breeders and pet stores.
We believe that no dog is born bad and no breed should be discriminated against simply because o

StopBSL Bimonthly Article November Part IHI and welcome to :iconstopbsl: November issue!!
If you’re not already aware of our group already, we are here to promote that all dogs whatever the breed deserve to be treated with respect (like all living things). It is up to use to be responsible pet owners and raise our dogs in an appropriate manner.
We are against any form of animal cruelty whether that is treating your dog as a toy, keeping a dog chained and not providing enrichment, poor breeding habits, breeding mutts for $ or because it’s cute!, we don’t support pet shops and we are advocates for shelters, we are all hugely passionate about re homing ALL animals and hope that anyone looking for a new family member will consider going to their local shelter.
All of us at :#stopbsl: are dog owners and we welcome any responsible animal lovers to join our group and spread the above messages. I understand some may not agree with our message and that’s fine but our article is not meant to start

At Christmas some people may consider getting a pet as a present for a friend, child or another member of the family. From goldfish to dogs any animal is a long term commitment and takes an understanding of how to fulfill the animals needs. Shelters are inundated during and after the holiday season as many frivolous purchases of pets end badly.
